One-Line Verdict
“While it earned high marks for spectacular action, CGI, and an immersive experience, the pacing dragged in the middle, leading to a rushed conclusion that felt disappointing.”
Overview
The story is set in a world where “Hwanhon-sul”—a forbidden magic capable of manipulating the energy of the heavens and swapping souls—exists. If the spell goes out of control, it causes side effects such as the body turning to stone or transforming into a monster.
Jang Uk is the noble yet rebellious young master of the Jang family in the nation of Daeho. Born with a cursed fate that blocked his energy channels and prevented him from learning any martial arts, his destiny changes when he meets Mu-deok, who harbors the soul of the world’s greatest assassin.
She is a character possessed by the soul of “Nak-su,” the world’s greatest assassin, but she remains trapped in the body of “Mu-deok”—a physically frail woman completely devoid of spiritual energy.
