King the Land Hotels: Your Guide to 6 Luxury Stays in Korea and How to Get There
King the Land is a drama about a hotel empire, so the hotels on screen were a big part of the fun. The King Hotel itself is fictional, but the places behind it are real, and you can stay at, or at least visit, most of them.
This guide covers six luxury hotels connected to the drama, from Seoul to Incheon, Gangwon Province and Jeju Island. For each one, you will find where it is, how to get there from the airport and who it suits best.
The six hotels at a glance
| Hotel | Area | Nearest transport | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Conrad Seoul | Yeouido, Seoul | Yeouido Station (Lines 5 and 9) | Shopping and Han River walks |
| Grand Hyatt Seoul | Namsan, Seoul | Itaewon or Hangangjin Station (Line 6) | City views and Itaewon |
| Josun Palace Seoul Gangnam | Gangnam, Seoul | Yeoksam Station (Line 2) | Gangnam shopping and dining |
| Paradise City | Yeongjongdo, Incheon | Next to Incheon Airport | An airport stopover or a resort break |
| Sol Beach Yangyang | Yangyang, Gangwon | Express bus from Seoul | A seaside getaway |
| Parnas Hotel Jeju | Jungmun, Jeju | Airport Limousine Bus 600 | A resort holiday in Jeju |
How they connect to the drama: Details vary between news reports and fan guides. The Grand Hyatt Seoul is known for the King Hotel exterior shots, Parnas Hotel Jeju for the hotel lobby and the Josun Palace for the lead character Goo Won’s suite. The other three are listed as filming locations.
Planning tips
- The three Seoul hotels are all reachable by subway, so you can see one a day.
- Paradise City sits on the island next to Incheon Airport, which makes it a handy place for your first or last night.
- Sol Beach Yangyang is a weekend trip from Seoul by express bus.
- Parnas Hotel Jeju is a flight plus an airport bus away.
- Apps: Google Maps directions are limited in Korea. Install Naver Map or KakaoMap, and use the Kakao T app for taxis.
- Transit card: Load a T-money card to ride the subway and buses easily.
1. Conrad Seoul: connected to the mall and the river
Address: 10 Gukjegeumyung-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul In the drama: Listed as a filming location, known for its sleek modern interiors.
Where it is: Conrad Seoul is inside the IFC complex in Yeouido, Seoul’s financial district. The hotel connects directly to IFC Mall, and through the mall you can walk indoors to The Hyundai Seoul department store and Yeouido Station. That is a big plus on rainy or freezing days.
How to get there
- By subway: Take Line 5 or Line 9 to Yeouido Station, leave by Exit 3 and follow the signs through IFC Mall to the hotel.
- From Incheon Airport: Airport Limousine Bus 6007 stops at IFC Mall (Conrad Seoul Hotel). The ride takes about 1 hour 10 minutes and costs roughly 16,000–17,500 won. You can also take the AREX train to Gimpo Airport Station, then Line 9 to Yeouido Station.
- From Gimpo Airport: Take Line 9 to Yeouido Station, about 40 minutes.
Best for: Travelers who want shopping, dining and a hotel in one place, plus easy access to the Han River park. Check before you go: Bus schedules and stops can change, so confirm them on the airport limousine bus website.

2. Grand Hyatt Seoul: views from the slopes of Namsan
Address: 322 Sowol-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul In the drama: Reportedly used for the exterior of the King Hotel.
Where it is: The Grand Hyatt sits on the slopes of Namsan, the mountain at the center of Seoul, with views over the city and the Han River. It is between Myeongdong and Itaewon, which makes both easy to reach. Keep in mind that the hotel is on a steep hill.
How to get there
- By subway: Itaewon Station (Line 6) is about an 11-minute walk, and Hangangjin Station (Line 6) is about 14 minutes. Because of the hill, a taxi or the hotel shuttle is easier with luggage.
- Hotel shuttle: The hotel has reportedly run a free shuttle to Itaewon, Hangangjin and Myeongdong. Routes and times can change, so ask the hotel in advance.
- From Incheon Airport: Airport Limousine Bus 6702 (Namsan/Dongdaemun route) stops outside the hotel’s main entrance. Allow roughly 1 to 1.5 hours. Alternatively, take the AREX train to Gongdeok Station, transfer to Line 6 and get off at Hangangjin Station.
Best for: Travelers who want city views and an easy base for both Itaewon and Myeongdong. Check before you go: Confirm the shuttle’s current route and hours with the hotel.

3. Josun Palace Seoul Gangnam: luxury in the heart of Gangnam
Address: 231 Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul In the drama: Known as the location of Goo Won’s suite.
Where it is: The hotel is on Teheran-ro, Seoul’s business corridor, close to Gangnam’s shopping and dining streets. COEX is nearby, and so is Seonjeongneung, a historic royal tomb park about a 12-minute walk away, so you can combine modern Gangnam with Joseon-era history in one day.
How to get there
- By subway: Yeoksam Station (Line 2) is a 5 to 10-minute walk, and Seolleung Station is about 8 minutes away.
- From Incheon Airport: Airport limousine buses toward Gangnam and COEX (such as Bus 6703) run through the area, but the nearest stop may not be at the hotel’s door. Ask the hotel which stop is closest. A taxi takes about an hour and ten minutes.
Best for: Travelers who plan to shop, eat out and visit COEX. Check before you go: Confirm the nearest airport bus stop with the hotel before you travel.

4. Paradise City: a resort right next to the airport
Address: 186 Yeongjonghaeannam-ro 321beon-gil, Jung-gu, Incheon In the drama: Listed as a filming location.
Where it is: Paradise City is on Yeongjongdo, the island that is home to Incheon Airport, so you can reach it quickly after landing. It is a large resort with hotels, a spa, art spaces and a theme park. Because it is far from central Seoul, it works best as a stopover on your first or last night.
How to get there
- From Incheon Airport: A free hotel shuttle reportedly runs from the airport. Its schedule and boarding point can change, so check with the hotel. A taxi is a short ride.
- By maglev: Take the Incheon Airport Maglev to Paradise City Station, then walk about 10 minutes.
- From Seoul: Take the AREX train toward Incheon Airport, then transfer to the shuttle or a taxi. A taxi from central Seoul takes roughly 50 minutes to an hour.
Best for: Travelers with an early flight or a late arrival, and anyone who wants a relaxing stay inside the resort. Check before you go: Shuttle service may be limited late at night. If you arrive late, plan a backup.

5. Sol Beach Yangyang: a Mediterranean-style resort by the sea
Address: 678 Seonsayujeok-ro, Sonyang-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon Province In the drama: Listed as a filming location. (Some guides mention another Sol Beach resort instead, so double-check if the drama scenes are your main reason for going.)
Where it is: On Korea’s east coast, Sol Beach Yangyang has red roofs and white walls inspired by the coastal towns of southern Spain. Susan Port is about a 4-minute drive away, and Naksan Beach is about 15 minutes by car. There are few restaurants near the hotel, so having a car or a taxi plan helps.
How to get there
- By express bus from Seoul: Buses run from Seoul Express Bus Terminal to Yangyang Bus Terminal about every hour. The listed travel time is around two hours, but traffic can make it three hours or more. Fares are roughly 12,000–22,000 won.
- By train and bus: Yangyang has no train station. Take the KTX to Gangneung (about two hours), then a bus to Yangyang (about 40 minutes).
- From the terminal to the hotel: Take a taxi. Ask about the fare and travel time at the terminal.
- By car: About 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes from Seoul.
Best for: A seaside getaway, beach walks and surf-friendly waters. Check before you go: Some facilities, such as the water park, run seasonally. Check operating dates before booking.

6. Parnas Hotel Jeju: a resort in Jungmun
Address: 100 Jungmungwangwang-ro 72beon-gil, Seogwipo-si, Jeju In the drama: Known for the King Hotel lobby scenes.
Where it is: The hotel is in the Jungmun Tourist Complex on Jeju’s southern coast. Its curved, multi-level atrium lobby is the main attraction. The surrounding area has beaches and several visitor attractions.
How to get there
- Airport Limousine Bus 600: Board outside Gate 5 on the first floor of Jeju Airport. The ride to Jungmun takes about 50 to 70 minutes, the fare is around 4,500–5,500 won and buses leave every 16 to 20 minutes.
- By taxi: About one hour. The fare depends on traffic and distance, and the Kakao T app makes booking easy.
- By rental car: A good option if you plan to explore several parts of Jeju.
Best for: A relaxing resort stay with sightseeing around Jungmun. Check before you go: First and last bus times vary by season. If you land late, confirm the last bus.

Before you go
- Visiting without staying: Some hotels let non-guests use their restaurants and lounges, but access varies. Ask the hotel first.
- Filming details: Information about where scenes were filmed comes from news reports and fan guides, not official announcements. If you want to see a specific scene, check before you visit.
- Booking: Room rates and availability change often. Check the hotel’s official site or a booking platform.
Final thoughts
Walking through the places you saw on screen is a great way to enjoy a drama twice. Take the subway to the Seoul hotels, use the shuttle for Paradise City, and plan a longer trip for Yangyang and Jeju.
